Role Summary

We are in search of a Histology Technologist to join our team, ensuring that we maintain high standards of patient care. If you are passionate about delivering quality healthcare, we would love to have you on board.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis of testing samples following established protocols and perform quality control measures.
  • Embed tissue specimens accurately and efficiently.
  • Section paraffin blocks at a consistent rate.
  • Produce tissue sections with precision, minimizing artifacts.
  • Perform routine staining procedures as per departmental guidelines.
  • Identify and rectify staining issues before submission to meet quality standards.
  • Conduct special stains and histochemical methods as required.
  • Prepare cytological smears and cell blocks.
  • Ensure accurate data entry for Cytology and Pathology specimens.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Science.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is advantageous.
  • Possession of a State of Florida Technologist License or the ability to obtain one during the hiring process.
  • Less than one year of experience in Histology; 1-3 years in a high-volume histology environment is preferred.
