Role Responsibilities
We are looking for a Histology Technologist to join our hospital-based team, ensuring that we maintain high standards of patient care. If you share our commitment to quality and patient experience, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct analysis of testing samples in accordance with established protocols and perform quality control checks.
- Embed tissue specimens accurately and efficiently.
- Section paraffin blocks to meet departmental standards.
- Produce tissue sections with precision and minimal artifacts.
- Execute routine H & E staining procedures as per departmental guidelines.
- Identify and rectify staining issues before submission.
- Perform specialized stains and histochemical methods as required.
- Prepare cytological specimens and ensure accurate data entry.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in a relevant scientific field.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology is advantageous.
- Possession of a State of Florida Technologist License or the ability to obtain one.
- Experience in Histology, preferably in a high-volume setting.
