Role Responsibilities

We are in search of a Histology Technologist to join our team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and efficient patient care. If you are passionate about patient experience and teamwork, we invite you to consider this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis of testing samples following established protocols and perform quality control measures.
  • Embed tissue specimens accurately and efficiently.
  • Section paraffin blocks to achieve the required thickness with minimal artifacts.
  • Execute routine staining procedures in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Identify and rectify staining issues prior to submission.
  • Perform specialized stains and histochemical methods as needed.
  • Prepare cytological specimens and ensure accurate data entry in the laboratory information system.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a relevant scientific field.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology is advantageous.
  • Possession of a State of Florida Technologist License or the ability to obtain one.
  • Experience in Histology is preferred, with less than one year acceptable.
