Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a dedicated Histology Technologist to join our team and ensure high-quality patient care. You will:

  • Conduct analysis of testing samples following established protocols and perform quality control measures.
  • Embed tissue specimens accurately and efficiently.
  • Section paraffin blocks with precision and minimal artifacts.
  • Execute routine staining procedures in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Identify and rectify staining issues prior to submission.
  • Perform special stains and histochemical methods as required.
  • Prepare cytological specimens and ensure accurate data entry.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An Associate's Degree in Science; a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is advantageous.
  • A valid State of Florida Technologist License or the ability to obtain one.
  • Less than one year of experience in Histology; preference for candidates with 1-3 years in a high-volume setting.
