Position Overview

We are seeking a Housing Support Program Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our program. This role involves managing client support services and providing direct training in essential skills such as independent living, education, and navigating community resources. The Supervisor will empower individuals with serious mental health challenges to secure and maintain their housing, while also negotiating with landlords regarding rent and deposits. This position requires a strong ability to bridge cultural and language gaps, along with active listening and empathy skills.

Vocational Training Opportunities

For those starting as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA), we offer a Vocational Training Program designed to expedite training and experiential learning, allowing qualified employees to complete the necessary supervised hours for QMHA-I certification in as little as six months. Participation in this program is optional.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Full Time, Day Shift)

Compensation

$5,000 - $6,000 per month based on experience and credentials.

Additional 5% Language Differential available for bilingual or multilingual candidates (Spanish/English preferred).

Our Housing Support Program is dedicated to assisting individuals with significant mental health needs in achieving independent living. Clients typically face numerous barriers to housing, and our mission is to help them navigate these challenges.

ColumbiaCare Services qualifies as an employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program, and QMHA employees may also apply for the Oregon Behavioral Health Loan Repayment Program.

Qualifications

  • Eligibility for Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) registration, which requires one of the following:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science (Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or related field);
  2. OR a minimum of three (3) years of verified behavioral health experience in a supervised setting;
  3. OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant behavioral health experience.
Preferred: Two (2) years of supervisory experience.

If not already registered as a QMHA, we will assist you in obtaining registration within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

This position necessitates the ability to frequently sit, talk, listen, and use hands and fingers. It may also require occasional walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Reasonable accommodations can be made.
