Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Housing Support Program (HSP) Supervisor. This position will oversee all facets of daily program operations and manage client support services.

The HSP Supervisor will deliver direct skills training and coaching in areas such as independent living, education, navigating healthcare systems, and community integration.

This role will empower individuals with significant mental health challenges to secure and maintain their housing, including negotiating with landlords regarding rent and deposits, as well as facilitating necessary one-time payments.

Additionally, the supervisor will work to bridge gaps caused by cultural or language differences, employing active listening and empathy skills, while possessing a foundational understanding of the mental health system and available community resources.


Vocational Training Program
For candidates starting as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA), ColumbiaCare offers a Vocational Training Program designed to expedite training, experiential learning, and preparation for certification, enabling qualified employees to complete the required 1000 supervised hours for QMHA-I certification in as little as 6 months. Participation in this program is optional.

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Full Time, Day)

Compensation:
$5,000 - $6,000 per month, depending on experience and credentials. An additional 5% Language Differential is available for bilingual or multilingual candidates (Spanish/English preferred).

About the Program
Our Housing Support Program is tailored to assist individuals with high needs in achieving independent living within the community. Clients typically face numerous barriers to housing, and our mission is to help them navigate and overcome these challenges.

ColumbiaCare Services qualifies as an employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program, and QMHA employees may also apply for the Oregon Behavioral Health Loan Repayment Program.

Qualifications
To be eligible, candidates must qualify for Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) registration, meeting one of the following criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science (Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or related field);
- A minimum of three (3) years of verifiable behavioral health experience in a supervised setting;
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant behavioral health experience.

Two (2) years of supervisory experience is preferred.

If not already registered as a QMHA through the Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO), we will assist you in registering within 30 days of hire.


Vocational Training Program:

Participants in the optional Vocational Training Program will have additional training requirements to fulfill QMHA testing criteria.


Successful applicants must:
- Pass a DHS criminal background check.

Physical Requirements:
This position necessitates the ability to frequently sit, talk, listen, and utilize hands and fingers.

Occasional physical activities may include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, squatting, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Reasonable accommodations can be arranged.
