Role Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations. This role is essential in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for both our clients and internal staff.

The Payroll Manager will work closely with various departments to collect and verify payroll data, address discrepancies, and deliver outstanding service to our clients and employees. Collaboration with sales, marketing, and product teams will also be key to expanding our payroll services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish efficient systems for payroll processing for clients and internal employees.
  • Supervise payroll processing and updates, including new hires and terminations.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable laws and internal policies.
  • Lead a team of payroll specialists to meet client payroll requirements.
  • Coordinate with auditors and manage payroll tax compliance.
  • Work in conjunction with Human Resources and accounting departments.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and generate reports.
  • Address payroll inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to promote payroll services to potential clients.
  • Partner with marketing to create campaigns aimed at enhancing payroll service visibility.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll management experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of payroll procedures, labor regulations, and compliance in the U.S.
  • Experience managing payroll audits and compliance reviews.
  • Proficient in payroll software and systems such as ADP, Gusto, and Paylocity.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to reconcile payroll with financial statements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in payroll calculations.
  • Effective organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with employees at all levels.
  • High integrity and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Capability to articulate the benefits of Zeni's payroll services to potential clients.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $135,000 - $155,000, dependent on geographic location and individual qualifications. Zeni offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
