Position Details

The Payroll Operations Specialist is a full-time role reporting directly to the Director of Finance. This confidential, non-union position involves managing the essential functions of the payroll process, including time clock oversight, integration of leave management, and assisting with payroll inquiries. Additionally, this role will support weekly and monthly accounting tasks and requires availability at both campuses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer bi-weekly payroll processing
  • Oversee and manage the ADP time clock system
  • Collaborate with staff and supervisors on time clock adjustments
  • Work alongside Human Resources to resolve payroll issues
  • Monitor billing and collections, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Assist in the preparation of various contracts, including master contracts and Individual Service Agreements (ISA)
  • Support the full-charge bookkeeper during fiscal year-end activities, including contract preparation and financial audit support
  • Prepare 1099 miscellaneous forms

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of accounting experience with 3-5 years in payroll
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, ADP, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Clearance of criminal background check

Compensation Range
