Senior Accounting Operations Manager
Vaco, a leader in staffing and consulting, is at the forefront of transforming financial management in the life sciences sector. This position requires in-office collaboration two days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the financial closing process, ensuring precise and timely reporting of financial data.
  • Prepare and consolidate monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • Manage daily accounting functions, including revenue recognition and inventory oversight.
  • Conduct technical accounting research and develop policy documentation.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls while enhancing financial workflows.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of financial systems.
  • Work with cross-departmental teams to facilitate system improvements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance.
  • Address ad-hoc requests from leadership as needed.
Expected Achievements in One Year:
  • Establish yourself as a reliable leader in daily accounting operations.
  • Document and refine accounting policies and procedures.
  • Drive ongoing improvements in systems and processes.
  • Effectively manage audit and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications:
  1. 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting.
  2. Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline.
  3. Deep understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting principles.
  4. Strategic mindset with the ability to align with the company's objectives.
  5. Proven ability to perform under pressure, with strong organizational skills and a focus on deadlines.
  6. Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  7. Flexible and open to process enhancements and changes.
  8. Strong analytical skills and adept project management capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with NetSuite.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Suite.
  • Background in the Diagnostic or Life Sciences industries.
Compensation:

Compensation for this role at Vaco is determined by various factors, including individual skills, experience, training, and other organizational needs. The estimated salary range for this position is $170K - $190K.
