Position Title: Chief People Officer

Department: Human Resources

Employment Type: Full-time; 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday (Exempt)

Compensation: $180,000-$200,000/year

Key Responsibilities:

The Chief People Officer will:

  • Collaborate with the executive leadership team to set long-term strategic, operational, and financial goals for Lifeworks.
  • Provide guidance to the President and CEO on executive team development, coaching, and performance management.
  • Support the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors by providing necessary information and attending meetings as required.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of human resources practices, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding human resources policies.
  • Oversee investigations related to workplace complaints and ensure respectful communication with affected parties.
  • Drive diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility initiatives within the organization.
  • Manage human resources information systems (HRIS) and ensure best practices are followed.
  • Develop and report on key metrics related to human resources and talent management.
  • Mentor and develop direct reports, fostering a culture of growth and accountability.
  • Champion Lifeworks' culture and values, positioning the organization as an attractive workplace.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field with at least ten years of experience, including seven years in a management role.
  • Master's degree and relevant certifications preferred.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, project management, and data analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS technology and Microsoft Office Suite.
