Position Overview:

Under the guidance of the Associate Dean and Program Director for Songwriting and Production, the successful candidate will possess experience in college admissions, excellent interpersonal abilities, and a keen attention to detail. The Enrollment and Admissions Coordinator will take charge of the admissions workflow for all program specializations at Berklee NYC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage proactively with prospective students and applicants through various communication channels regarding program offerings and application processes.
  • Oversee data management and generate weekly reports to assess both quantitative and qualitative metrics related to current and prospective applicants.
  • Handle, organize, and maintain all applicant documentation through data entry and linkage across multiple systems.
  • Track and communicate applicant information effectively with relevant stakeholders, including Program Directors and team members.
  • Utilize data from various systems to create reports that include demographic information, educational backgrounds, and trends, producing visual presentations and tracking charts as needed.
  • Coordinate and manage all admissions and enrollment events throughout the cycle, such as open houses and campus tours.
  • Collaborate closely with Program Directors to support applicant communication and tracking throughout the academic year.
  • Assist in nurturing potential candidates through the admissions process.
  • Supervise student staff to facilitate office management and administrative duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Commitment to Berklee's diversity initiatives and the ability to foster effective working relationships across diverse identities and experiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Google Drive, Microsoft Office, Content Management Systems (preferably Drupal), and MailChimp.
  • Familiarity with Datatel Colleague, Marketo, and Salesforce platforms is advantageous.
  • Experience in event planning is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to adapt to a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Professional background in higher education admissions.
  • Experience with college computer systems is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with students, staff, and faculty.
