Job Description

  • Collaborate in the development of policies, objectives, and standards for nursing services and education.
  • Contribute to the creation of administrative procedures and patient care programs.
  • Oversee the planning, organization, direction, coordination, and evaluation of nursing services within a major clinical division or home health agency. This may include participating in the selection, placement, and follow-up of patients transferred to homes.
  • Assist with the planning, organization, and implementation of a comprehensive nursing education program.
  • Assume responsibility for planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating nursing services during evening and night shifts.
  • Direct the activities of Supervisor of Nurses.
  • Prepare and deliver periodic and daily reports on administrative matters related to staff and patient management.
  • Participate in the direction and implementation of a quality assurance program for nursing.
  • Lead and chair regular staff meetings with nursing personnel.
  • Assess nursing services through rounds, chart reviews, and evaluations of patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possess a current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in nursing leadership roles within a healthcare setting.
  • Exhibit strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
