Regional Operations Manager at KIPP NYC

About KIPP NYC Public Schools: KIPP NYC Public Schools is a non-profit organization comprising 18 free, public charter schools located in various boroughs. We collaborate with families and communities to establish engaging and rigorous educational environments aimed at fostering a more equitable society. Since our inception in 1995 with KIPP Academy in the Bronx, we have expanded to include eight elementary schools, nine middle schools, one high school, and KIPP Forward, a comprehensive initiative dedicated to supporting our students and alumni in their educational and career pursuits. Currently, KIPP NYC serves over 11,000 students and alumni and employs a diverse staff, including a significant number of alumni.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the maintenance of accurate and comprehensive student records and data across both internal and external platforms, including conducting annual audits of student files.
- Assist with Per Pupil Billing systems by gathering and analyzing billing and compliance information for all 19 schools, and generating monthly dashboards for student data and audits.
- Facilitate weekly communications within the Operations team and manage resources such as the Ops Resources and Look Ahead Page, as well as KIPP:Go, which serve as informational platforms for school operations teams.
- Prepare written documentation for various stakeholders, including Regional Leadership, KIPP NYC Board, regional staff meetings, and network-wide communications.
- Develop, maintain, and update project plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with the KIPP NYC Finance team to support Title 1 and McKinney Vento initiatives.
- Assist the Regional Director of Operations (RDO) with special projects and act as the primary contact for all related tasks.
- Manage the Systems Access Document detailing all systems requiring coordination with the NYC Department of Education.
- Act as a strategic partner to the RDO to ensure the implementation of effective and efficient systems across all operations.
- Monitor the efficiency of daily operations and report any obstacles directly to the RDO to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Timely escalate concerns and challenges to the RDO.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree is required, along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in school operations or a related field.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as familiarity with Google systems; experience with Automate the System, Asana, PowerSchool, Tableau, and Vendor Portal is advantageous.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and project management abilities, complemented by strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to produce high-quality work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong interpersonal skills, enabling the development of productive relationships with various stakeholders across the organization.

Additional Information:
The KIPP NYC Regional Operations Manager position offers a competitive salary range of $80,340 to $92,700. Salary ranges are standardized based on role level and function, with individual salaries determined through an equitable lens, considering relevant experience and responsibilities, and benchmarked against peers within the same salary band.
