Position Overview
The Medicare Enrollment Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing access to health insurance for Medicare beneficiaries. This position focuses on educating individuals about their healthcare options and assisting them in navigating the enrollment process. The specialist will also engage in health education initiatives and facilitate health screenings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify potential enrollees and assess their eligibility for participation in our Medicare offerings.
  • Comprehend and implement all policies and procedures related to:
    • Disclosures and provisions of the Medicare product.
    • Enrollment and disenrollment processes.
  • Conduct home visits and personalized consultations to assist with the enrollment process.
  • Promote our Medicare services at various community locations, including hospitals and senior centers.
  • Understand the benefits, exclusions, and limitations of the coverage provided.
  • Educate enrollees on the features of the Plan and address any inquiries regarding benefits.
  • Stay updated on marketing guidelines established by regulatory agencies and ensure compliance.
  • Complete necessary documentation and reports accurately and promptly.
  • Collaborate with outreach and customer service teams to address member concerns and facilitate enrollments.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with community organizations and regulatory bodies.
  • Assist members in accessing healthcare services and addressing related needs.
  • Engage in outreach efforts to promote enrollment.
  • Deliver presentations to groups, particularly seniors, to raise awareness about available services.
  • Complete required annual training on Medicare policies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; college coursework is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in sales or customer relations.
  • Experience in public speaking.
  • Previous experience in Medicare sales is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.

Licensure and Certification

  • A valid New York State Life, Accident, and Health License is required upon employment, with maintenance of licensure throughout employment.
  • A valid New York State Driver's License is beneficial.
