**Position Overview:**

The Manager, Ambassador Program will be an essential member of the Student Recruitment & Enrollment team and the regional External Affairs team. The Manager will work with our families and communities to identify the best strategies to recruit and enroll new KIPP NYC students.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage the Family Ambassadors program to meet KIPP NYC student application goals, including leveraging family relationships and business referrals.
  • Collaborate with the KIPP NYC Student Recruitment & Enrollment (SRE) team on implementation of family and student recruitment and outreach activities.
  • Support the Regional Family Advisory (RFAC) meetings and collect and organize testimonials from families to support External Affairs campaigns.
  • Cross-collaborate with other regional teams for engagement opportunities, such as partnering with Student Support Services using Possip (family feedback survey platform) data.
  • Attend monthly RFAC and School-based family meetings regularly to directly engage with parents, gather feedback, and provide updates on Student Application goals, upcoming events, and opportunities for collaboration.
  • Plan and execute annual Parent University, in collaboration with RFAC and other regional teams.
  • Partner with school-based family groups to attend and track school-based family engagement using team dashboards.
  • Manage civic engagement data tracking through Murmuration (a civic engagement digital platform) to provide regular reports on ladder of engagement progress.
  • Serve as regional liaison to the KIPP NY Alumni Association.
  • Local travel to KIPP NYC Schools and evening community events, and travel to Albany for advocacy events.

**Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree required, with 3+ years of experience in family engagement, civic engagement, community organizing, or program management.
  • Fluency or proficiency in Spanish highly preferred, written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to keep track of deadlines and communications using shared platforms, including Asana, Google Drive, CRM database tools.
  • Experience managing programs with direct reports and multiple stakeholders across various sites.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop productive working relationships with stakeholders across functional and organizational lines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creative, analytical thinker with meticulous attention to detail, able to quickly implement thoughtful solutions in a fast-paced environment.

**Compensation:**

KIPP NYC offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,340 - $92,700. Salary ranges at KIPP NYC are standardized based on role level and role function. Individual salaries are determined through a lens of equity, accounting for years of experience relevant to the role and scope of responsibilities, and are benchmarked against others within the same salary band.
