Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Enrollment Manager to join our Admissions and Financial Aid team at Union Theological Seminary. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the workflow of recruitment, admission, and enrollment data, as well as providing exceptional customer service to prospective students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Admissions Operations
    • Participate as an active member of the Admissions team, assisting in planning and implementing admissions goals.
    • Oversee the workflow of recruitment, admission, and enrollment data in the Slate Enrollment CRM system, preparing the system for each upcoming cycle and ensuring efficiency.
  • Student Enrollment Management
    • Evaluate and audit applicant records and transcripts, ensuring all records are accurate and all materials are received.
    • Communicate updates, issues, needs, and other admissions-related information to prospective students.
  • Reporting and Data Management
    • Provide reports to key stakeholders in other departments, including Registrar, Student Affairs, Online Learning, Communications, and Development.
    • Manage accurate data exports to our student information system (Jenzabar SONIS, OnBase) and data imports from relevant systems (Raiser's Edge, NetCommunity, etc).
  • Student Credential Management
    • Oversee set-up, assignment, and communication of student credentials for incoming students.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide student-centered, excellent customer service, welcoming students, faculty, and staff in person and through telephone and email.
    • Respond to daily mail, email, telephone, and in-person requests from prospective students.
    • Communicate with all applicants that have started the application process about application components, timelines, and procedures.
  • Marketing and Communications
    • In conjunction with the admissions team and other stakeholders, support the development of multimedia communications to serve the needs of our enrollment and recruitment efforts.
    • Configure and monitor enrollment marketing emails in the Slate CRM system.
    • Upload and maintain prospect lists stemming from event attendance, list purchases, open houses, and other recruitment events.
  • Event Management
    • Maintain campus visit and recruitment event portal in Slate, including setting up events and tracking prospect attendance.
    • Create and distribute event reminders and thank you emails on a regular basis.
    • Provide logistical and technical support for virtual recruitment events, including set-up, recording, and distribution of event materials to prospects.
  • Administrative Support
    • Provide general administrative support to the Admissions and Financial Aid Office.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Two to four years of experience required.
  • Demonstrated accuracy in handling detailed work required.
  • Demonstrated superior customer service and interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Must demonstrate strong computer skills.
  • Experience with Slate preferred.
  • Excellent proofreading/editing skills required.
  • Must be able to work under pressure on concurrent projects with frequent interruptions and minimal supervision.
