Position Overview

This role is situated within the Small Business Administration, specifically in the Office of Field Operations. The Marketing and Outreach Coordinator is responsible for supervising SBA program partners and ensuring compliance through various monitoring activities, which necessitates thorough planning, expertise, and decision-making capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and nurture a network of collaborative partnerships with economic development professionals across various governmental levels, business associations, financial institutions, educational entities, and community organizations.
  • Act as a representative of the SBA at public events, delivering outreach presentations and training sessions to inform the small business community about SBA programs and relevant topics.
  • Lead or participate in outreach initiatives, collaborating with team members and resources to ensure successful project execution.
  • Provide guidance and training on SBA programs.
  • Serve as a field technical representative overseeing compliance for SBA district office clients.
  • Conduct evaluations of programs, monitor awardee performance, ensure adherence to award conditions, and review financial reports in line with established guidelines.
Employment Conditions

  • This position is part of a bargaining unit.
Qualifications

GS-12 Level: Candidates must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in federal service, which includes independently developing marketing strategies for program growth, delivering outreach and training on business management topics, and fostering collaborative partnerships with various stakeholders.

Experience may include both paid and unpaid roles, including volunteer work through national service programs.

Education

Education cannot substitute for experience in this position. All educational qualifications must be from accredited institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
