Key Responsibilities:

Givens Communities is seeking a dedicated Community Safety Coordinator to ensure a secure and inviting environment for our residents, guests, and staff. The Community Safety Coordinator is responsible for maintaining safety protocols, managing access points, responding to emergencies, conducting regular patrols, and monitoring safety-related incidents.

Essential Duties Include:
  • Overseeing entry and exit points to guarantee that only authorized individuals can access the community.
  • Promptly responding to alarms, investigating their causes, and taking appropriate action to resolve issues.
  • Conducting routine patrols across the campus, including parking areas, pathways, and buildings, to deter and identify any suspicious activities.
  • Acting as the primary contact during emergencies, providing support and direction to residents, guests, and staff.
  • Performing regular checks on security equipment, such as surveillance cameras and alarms, to ensure they are operational.
  • Responding to assistance requests with professionalism and empathy, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all security-related activities, including patrols, incidents, and interactions with residents and visitors.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
  • EMT certification is a plus
  • Preferred experience of 2 years in a security officer role
  • Valid driver's license required
Compensation: $19.50 per hour, plus shift differentials.
