Position: Armed Security Supervisor/Rover

TCS Security, a distinguished firm recognized for its expertise in various management sectors, is seeking a dedicated Armed Security Supervisor/Rover. Our organization prides itself on fostering an inclusive workplace, valuing diversity, and honoring military veterans.

The Armed Security Supervisor/Rover plays a critical role in safeguarding our clients' assets, personnel, and premises. This position involves maintaining a visible presence to deter unlawful activities and ensure a secure environment for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage security shift operations to ensure compliance with established protocols.
  • Provide direct supervision to security personnel, ensuring adherence to contract requirements and operational standards.
  • Monitor and control post assignments, attendance, and overtime to meet mission objectives.
  • Conduct inspections of equipment and firearms assigned to personnel, ensuring proper maintenance.
  • Coordinate necessary personnel and equipment for effective security operations.
  • Perform site monitoring, perimeter checks, and assist with public inquiries.
  • Deliver clear instructions and maintain professionalism in all interactions.
  • Ensure unauthorized individuals do not access the premises and monitor activities within the facility.
  • Execute duties as outlined in Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage visitor access, including issuing identification badges and controlling parking access.
  • Utilize security technology and equipment as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Report any security violations or unusual activities to management.
Administrative Duties
  • Prepare and manage employee schedules.
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping records for staff.
  • Document daily activities and incidents in a duty log.
  • Facilitate communication via telephone and radio.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Current certification by Maryland State Police to carry firearms is required.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in military, law enforcement, or civilian security roles.
  • Physical and mental capability to perform job duties effectively.
  • Must possess good vision and hearing abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to interact positively with the public.
  • Must comply with company policies and regulations regarding conduct and firearms.
  • Minimum of two years' supervisory experience in security operations is required.
  • Completion of at least twenty hours of supervisory training.
Training Requirements
  • Must maintain initial and ongoing training in security protocols, CPR, First Aid, and de-escalation techniques.
  • Participation in diversity and harassment training is mandatory.
  • Additional training as required by company policies or contractual obligations.
