Role Responsibilities

The Armed Security Supervisor is integral to our security operations, tasked with safeguarding client assets and maintaining a visible presence to deter unlawful activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing security shift operations and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Supervising security personnel to ensure compliance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Managing post assignments and ensuring proper attendance and overtime management.
  • Conducting inspections of security equipment and firearms to guarantee operational readiness.
  • Coordinating site monitoring, emergency notifications, and public assistance as needed.
  • Enforcing building access protocols and monitoring visitor identification processes.
  • Maintaining professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with the public.
  • Documenting daily activities and incidents in a duty log.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must possess a valid Maryland State Police firearms license.
  • Must successfully pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in military, law enforcement, or a related security field.
  • Physical capability to perform job duties, including climbing stairs and maintaining hearing and vision standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact positively with staff and visitors.
Training Requirements

All supervisors are required to undergo initial and ongoing training, which includes:

  • Security Guard training
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • De-escalation techniques and customer service training
  • Mandatory EEO training
  • Any additional training as required by TCS Security or contractual obligations.

We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and the ability to handle challenging situations with composure.
