Position Overview

The Security Operations Scheduler is tasked with the critical role of designing and overseeing shift allocations for our security team, ensuring optimal coverage at all times. This position demands outstanding organizational capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in collaborating with a substantial workforce exceeding 100 personnel.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Shift Management:
    • Formulate and uphold weekly and monthly shift plans for security staff, guaranteeing all positions are filled and personnel are effectively assigned.
    • Modify schedules as necessary to address absences, emergencies, and other unforeseen changes, ensuring minimal impact on security functions.
  • Personnel Oversight:
    • Ensure all security roles are occupied in accordance with client specifications and organizational standards.
    • Track and manage officer availability, leave requests, and overtime, balancing operational demands with employee welfare.
  • Coordination and Communication:
    • Promptly relay schedule modifications and updates to all security personnel and pertinent stakeholders.
    • Work in conjunction with the Security Manager to resolve staffing challenges and enhance scheduling methodologies.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain precise records of schedules, shift alterations, and officer assignments.
    • Compile and present regular reports on staffing metrics, attendance, and schedule compliance.
  • Support and Training:
    • Offer assistance and direction to officers regarding scheduling protocols and policies.
    • Facilitate the onboarding process for new officers by coordinating initial schedules and training sessions.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. A degree in business administration, management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in security scheduling or a comparable role, managing shifts for a large team of over 100 personnel or equivalent responsibilities.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Capability to perform under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
    • Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
