Job Overview

Alamo Hospice is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide essential support in the realm of hospice care. This role is vital in delivering compassionate assistance to patients and their families during a significant phase of life.

Shift Details

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Service Area

Coverage: Various rural areas and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing personal care services such as bathing, grooming, and maintaining hygiene
  • Assisting patients with dressing and undressing
  • Planning and preparing healthy meals, including grocery shopping
  • Helping patients with feeding
  • Monitoring and caring for patients' skin to prevent any issues
  • Communicating any changes in the patient's condition to the Case Manager
Required Qualifications
  • State certification as a nurse aide
  • Current CPR certification
  • Clear record on the state aide registry, eligible to provide patient care
  • Minimum age of 18 years, unless otherwise specified by state law
  • Valid driver's license and insured vehicle as per state regulations
