Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Water and Wastewater Treatment Engineer to take on the role of Project Manager for various water and wastewater treatment and resource recovery facility projects in our Central Plains region. This position is pivotal in enhancing our expanding water/wastewater practice through effective client engagement, technical project execution, and mentorship of staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the analysis, design, construction administration, and documentation for a range of water treatment, wastewater treatment, reuse, and resource recovery facility projects.
  • Prepare essential design calculations, drawings, and specifications to ensure cost-effective construction methods, including sealing of drawings and reports as necessary.
  • Act as Project Manager for assignments primarily within your team, while also coordinating with other departments and clients as needed.
  • Conduct independent research and compile comprehensive reports that present findings and conclusions clearly and concisely. Supervise engineers and technicians on assigned tasks, reviewing and assessing their outputs.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of current engineering design standards and practices to ensure project deliverables meet client expectations and adhere to firm standards.
  • Coordinate with drafting personnel, technicians, and other engineers on technical aspects relevant to project assignments.
  • Ensure that ongoing tasks are completed within established schedules and budgets to align with project requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater treatment, with a focus on plant process evaluation, design, and construction of municipal facilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong presentation and sales abilities.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
