Role Overview

In the capacity of Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting LJC's leadership team, contributing to the firm's growth and expanding its influence in the industry. Your responsibilities will include securing project commissions and identifying top talent for recruitment. You will also be instrumental in mentoring and fostering the professional growth of our staff, collaborating across various disciplines within LJC and our parent company, Clayco, to ensure the success of our entire organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the LJC team, consultants, and clients to deliver outstanding projects on schedule and within budget through effective planning, oversight, and communication.
  • Manage interactions and communications between team members, clients, and consultants throughout project lifecycles.
  • Develop and oversee project timelines, ensuring adherence to established milestones.
  • Oversee financial aspects including billings, collections, and profitability for projects under your management.
  • Support business development initiatives and help organize pursuits.
  • Participate in the recruitment and interviewing process to facilitate practice growth.
  • Represent LJC at community and civic engagements.
  • Embody LJC's core values of integrity, humility, and courage.
  • Contribute to LJC's Core Councils focusing on Culture, Integration, Practice, Process, and Sustainability.

Qualifications

  • Successful Project Managers at LJC typically possess:
  • A bachelor's degree in architecture or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in architecture and design.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management.
  • Preferably, a registered architect.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD/Revit, and MS Office.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence and poise in presenting to both internal and external audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for relationship-building and colleague mentoring.
  • Experience in client communications and relationship management.
