Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager for Distribution Logistics

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Manager for Distribution Logistics to lead our end-to-end strategic sourcing lifecycle in distribution logistics categories. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in strategic sourcing and procurement within distribution, including managing logistics, transportation, and delivery services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end strategic sourcing lifecycle in distribution logistics categories, including transportation modes, warehousing services, and clinical logistics services.
  • Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to identify and implement optimal distribution solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Measure and manage supplier performance, ensuring compliance with all relevant sourcing policies and procedures.
  • Provide expertise on contracting, leading contracting activities, and managing ongoing contract management needs for carriers and distribution suppliers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key distribution vendors, ensuring they meet Amgen's standards for performance, reliability, and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Strategic Sourcing, Contracting, and Negotiations experience.
  • Extensive experience in strategic sourcing and procurement within distribution, including managing logistics, transportation, and delivery services.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with experience using e-procurement tools such as Workday Strategic Sourcing (Scout) and Ariba.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, manage, and develop relationships with distribution vendors.
