Strategic Sourcing Manager for Distribution Excellence

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead the end-to-end strategic sourcing lifecycle in distribution logistics categories, including transportation modes, warehousing services, and clinical logistics services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic sourcing process for distribution logistics categories, identifying and implementing optimal distribution solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to key partners and customers, providing expertise on contracting, contract management, and supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to develop and implement sourcing strategies that optimize distribution networks and drive cost savings.
  • Develop and execute global and regional sourcing strategies, managing supplier performance and ensuring compliance with all relevant sourcing policies and procedures.
  • Provide expertise on e-procurement tools, such as Workday Strategic Sourcing and Ariba, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree or equivalent experience in strategic sourcing, contracting, and negotiations.
  • Strong experience in project management, with the ability to develop and implement practical solutions, lead project teams, and manage relationships with distribution vendors.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to negotiate, manage, and develop relationships with distribution vendors.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to distribution in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Fluent business English, written and oral.
