Deputy Logistics Director for Multinational Security Support

The MSS Support Office is the mission support for the UN Security Council-sanctioned mission to Haiti. This office is staffed by international personnel and led by the US State Department.
Prior experience in multilateral peacekeeping operations is required. Familiarity with international protocols, conflict resolution, and crisis management is essential. Expertise in financial management within multinational organizations, including budget planning, allocation, and financial reporting, is desirable.
Fluency in English and French, with Creole highly desirable, is required. Candidates must be Canadian nationals or Permanent Residents.
The core logistics functions are deployment and distribution, supply, maintenance, logistics services, operational contract support, engineering, and joint health services.
Deployment and Distribution:
Responsible for deploying, executing, and sustaining Multinational Security Support (MSS) operations worldwide. This includes managing Participating Contributing Countries (PCC) and International Donations on equipment requirements.
Move the Force and Sustain the Force with United Nations (UN) Trust Fund and international contributions and sustainment leaders with mobility, transportation, force projection, redeployment, and retrograde operation requirements.
Requires an understanding of the complexities of supply operations, functions, and processes with UN and international partners.
Planning for supply operations requires a collaborative environment to fully consider all major components for the joint logistics enterprise (JLEnt).
Maintenance:
Responsible for overseeing international donated equipment operational readiness. Enforce and problem-solve MSS CDR equipment maintenance requirements.
Logistics Services:
Responsible for MSS oversight of various capabilities on food service, water and ice service, Life Support Area (LSA) and Forward Operating Base (FOB) services, hygiene services, and mortuary affairs.
Operational Contract Support:
Responsible for making timely, risk-informed decisions on the best source for procuring supplies, services, and construction through a contract while managing and assessing the resultant contract support.
Provide infrastructure position, project, protect, and sustain the MSS force.
Health Services:
Responsible for overseeing all MSS health services support with medical personnel by applying services health support capabilities into a collaborated network with UN, PCC, International Donating Countries, and U.
Health service functions include preventive medicine, health surveillance and risk management, bio-surveillance, combat and operational stress control, dental services, laboratory services, and veterinary services (food protection, animal care, veterinary preventive medicine).
