The Distribution Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the distribution center, ensuring that merchandise is processed efficiently and accurately. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to drive continuous improvement and develop and maintain a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and manage a team of exempt and non-exempt employees, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and execution of operational plans.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as logistics, operations management, or business administration.
- 5-8 years of management experience in a retail production/distribution environment, with a proven track record of success in leading exempt team members.
- Excellent supervisory and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct activities of a team.
- Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Manhattan WMS and other logistics software.
