Job Summary

The Excalibur Group is seeking a skilled Logistics Supervisor to provide care and support for DC residents at shelters throughout the district. This role requires a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, with experience in supervising procurement, organization, tracking, and distribution of goods and services in shelter or hospitality environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage facility supplies and resources, including tracking, storage, and upkeep.
  • Manage inventory, tracking, and sorting of clothing and personal items in the clothing store on-site.
  • Supervise and assist with the movement of facility resources, furniture, and fixtures in a safe and thoughtful manner.
  • Oversee the monitoring of the physical condition of the facility by conducting internal and external rovers each shift-change to ensure a clean, safe, and hazard-free environment.
  • Serve as liaison to external entities; report all maintenance concerns to designated District contacts.
  • Coordinate and manage facility signage, pathway management/closures, and availability of basic resources in accordance with Reception and Respite services.
  • Support development and maintenance of work schedule, ensuring proper coverage and management of logistical needs.
  • Review resolutions to logistical requests for quality and completeness.
  • Conduct monitoring of logistical specialist performance on a regular basis.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in logistics or supply chain management preferred.
  • Three years' experience supervising procurement, organization, tracking, and distribution goods and services in shelter or hospitality environments.
  • Experience should include development and implementation of logistical procedures, staff training and schedule management, coordination with site staff and mission partners, and ability and willingness to perform light housekeeping and lifting up to 30 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Spanish speaking fluency.
  • DC Residency preferred.
  • Professional Registrations or Certification including Project Management.
