Children's Home and Aid - Child Welfare Prevention Coordinator

As a pivotal member of the regional child welfare team, the Child Welfare Prevention Coordinator collaborates across various programs to maintain a steadfast focus on child safety and family support. This role aligns with our agency's Blueprint for Impact, which aims to transform traditional child welfare services into comprehensive solutions that promote the well-being of children, families, and communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver stabilization-oriented case management services.
  • Work in partnership with programs to ensure the safety of children and the support of families.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related human services field is required.
  • Child Endangerment Risk Assessment Protocol (CERAP) certification or the ability to obtain it within ninety (90) days of employment is required.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Must be able to attend in-person meetings and events as necessary.
  • A valid driver's license, insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle are required.

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting compensation is $19.70/hr, with offers based on experience. Our benefits package includes:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Over three weeks of paid time off in the first year, including a designated week between Christmas and New Year's Day, with PTO increasing with tenure.
  • Eleven paid holidays and supplemental insurance options.
  • 401(k) plan with matching contributions.

Work Environment:

This position is hybrid (remote/in-office) and requires proximity to Chicago, IL. The schedule is full-time and hourly, with general business hours and some flexibility for on-call responsibilities and special projects.
