Oklahoma Human Services is seeking a highly skilled Child Welfare Specialist IV to join our team. As a key member of our Child Protective Services, Family Centered Services, and Permanency Planning units, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring lower-level Child Welfare Specialists, providing case consultation, and advising on policy and procedure interpretation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead worker and mentor to a unit of lower-level Child Welfare Specialists, providing guidance and support in case management and policy interpretation.
- Serve as team leader in staff meetings, providing ongoing case consultation and advising on best practices in case management.
- Assist in the coordination efforts of the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC), ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Carry complex and difficult caseloads, providing expert-level case management and consultation to lower-level specialists.
- Monitor investigations and individualized service plans, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Review court reports and provide expert-level analysis and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Social Work or related field, plus one year of experience in child welfare programs.
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field, plus two years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.
- OR Three years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.
