Social Services Coordinator

Annual Compensation:

  • Level I H20A: $36, Full State Employee Benefits
  • Level II H20B: $39, Full State Employee Benefits

Extensive travel is required. A valid driver's license and appropriate car insurance are mandatory.

Essential Qualifications:

Social Services Coordinator I

  • A Bachelor's Degree
  • OR a suitable combination of education and experience, where one year of professional social work experience can substitute for one year of the required education.

Social Services Coordinator II

  • A Master's degree;
  • OR a Bachelor's degree along with one year of professional social work experience;
  • OR a comparable combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional social work for each year of the required education.

This position is responsible for delivering social services to clients by evaluating their needs and determining eligibility for various programs and services. The role also involves managing a caseload that requires both comprehensive and specialized knowledge of all social service programs, including ensuring compliance with OKDHS approved specialized foster homes.

Engagement with external public and private health and welfare agencies, as well as community resources, is essential to assist clients and their families in obtaining necessary support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Functions as the Developmental Disabilities Services (DDS) residential worker for Specialized Foster Care and Agency Companion homes, which includes travel and caseload management.
  • Ensures compliance and quality care for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities in Specialized Foster Care (SFC) and Adult Companion (AC) homes.
  • Assists DDS State Payee in managing requests for expenditure of funds for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities.
  • Collaborates in the development of new SFC and AC homes, which may involve recruitment initiatives.
  • Works collaboratively with DDS team members and Child Welfare Staff.
  • Participates in select in-person meetings.
