Position Overview
We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Senior Structural Engineering Specialist with a focus on transportation infrastructure, including bridges, retaining walls, box culverts, and overhead sign structures. Our objective is to ensure safe roadway systems through precise, efficient designs that enhance our clients' confidence in HR Green's structural expertise. Our team comprises engineers, planners, and scientists with a wealth of experience to guarantee successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis, design, and technical documentation for structural projects, including bridges and pedestrian structures.
  • Develop engineering plans for new bridge constructions and rehabilitations.
  • Conduct comprehensive quality assurance and quality control checks on engineering tasks performed by team members.
  • Make critical design decisions tailored to the unique requirements of our clients.
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical, scheduling, or financial challenges during project execution.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth project execution from inception to completion.
  • Assist in coordinating the efforts of Engineers in Training, junior engineers, and design technicians.
  • Participate in crafting engineering service proposals, including estimating timelines and costs for proposed work.
  • Sign and seal engineering documents as an authorized representative of the firm.
  • Communicate independently on technical matters with clients.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility to obtain one.
  • A minimum of six years of structural design experience with the capability to sign engineering documents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret technical literature and engineering plans.
  • Advanced proficiency in bridge design software such as LEAP Enterprise (Conspan & RC Pier), STAAD, MDX, and MIDAS.
  • Proficient in operating technical analysis equipment and computer systems.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, applying professional knowledge to both routine and complex engineering tasks.
