Enclos is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to contribute to our innovative projects. Enclos is a reputable, privately owned facade contractor specializing in the design, engineering, fabrication, assembly, and installation of custom facade systems. Position Overview:

  • Registered Professional Engineer responsible for the design, fabrication, and installation of facade systems.
  • Oversees project execution and coordinates the design, fabrication, and installation processes.
  • Reviews and certifies facade shop drawings and structural calculations.
  • Mentors junior engineers to enhance their skills in structural engineering and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as Engineer of Record for facade systems.
  • Leads the design and coordination of shop drawings, structural calculations, and as-built documentation.
  • Reviews and certifies structural calculations and shop drawings.
  • Manages multiple projects while delegating tasks to junior engineers.
  • Supports other engineering projects under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Utilizes hand sketches and CAD software to draft solutions.
  • Conducts analysis using hand calculations and engineering software.
  • Provides software support within the structural team.
  • Designs facades adhering to best practices, building codes, and project specifications.
  • Encourages collaboration within diverse teams to solve complex challenges.
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills to effectively convey information to team members.
  • Serves as the primary contact for structural inquiries.
  • Develops innovative solutions to design and field challenges.
  • Creates high-performing and efficient designs.
  • Consults with senior engineers on complex issues.
  • Maintains the Structural Master Document Index.
  • Conducts performance reviews for junior engineers as necessary.
  • Exhibits strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Participates in performance mockups and site observations as required.
  • Serves as a role model for professionalism within the engineering group.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer in the state of residence.
  • Experience with performance mockups and construction site observations.
  • Preferred Structural Engineering license.
  • Experience in curtainwall project design and fieldwork.
