Key Responsibilities

Position Overview:

As a Senior Systems Engineering Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in guiding engineering teams through a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach to requirements gathering, solution development, scheduling, and systems integration within the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG) and its allied frameworks.

Core Duties:
  • Support government initiatives in directing requirements analysis, solution architecture, scheduling, and service development across NSG and allied systems.
  • Engage in the planning and traceability of user requirements, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and addressing existing system challenges.
  • Provide expert advice on modifications to solution designs based on thorough analysis of requirements and emerging technologies.
  • Assist in translating mission objectives and customer needs into actionable systems and capability requirements.
  • Facilitate the analysis and allocation of requirements to various systems architecture components and associated programs.
  • Contribute to systems integration efforts, ensuring seamless functionality across platforms.
  • Participate in Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Actions (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
  • Support strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design initiatives.
Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related technical field, or 18 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 18 years of experience in government or industry, focusing on areas such as DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, and system engineering for complex Systems of Systems or Cloud environments.
  • Extensive experience in systems engineering roles within government or industry settings.
  • Possession of TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain it and successfully pass a polygraph examination.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering methodologies, tools, and languages.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.
  • INCOSE Associate System Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification.
  • Documented experience in geospatial intelligence.
  • Active participation in professional organizations such as ACSM, ASCE, ASPRS, OGC, SAREM, or USGIF.
  • Understanding of photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, geographic information systems, and related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.

Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000, reflecting the typical compensation for this role based on experience and other relevant factors.
