Key Responsibilities

Position Overview:
As a Senior Systems Engineering Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in guiding engineering teams through a comprehensive approach to requirements analysis, solution development, scheduling, reliability, and integration across various intelligence systems. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of precise and timely geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) services.

Core Duties:
  • Support the Government in steering requirements analysis, solution development, scheduling, and reliability across national and allied intelligence systems.
  • Contribute to the planning and traceability of user requirements and system architectures, enhancing existing systems and evaluating cloud service capabilities.
  • Provide strategic advice on modifications to solution designs based on thorough analysis of requirements and emerging technologies.
  • Assist in translating mission and customer needs into comprehensive systems and capability requirements.
  • Facilitate the analysis and allocation of requirements to system architecture components and active programs.
  • Engage in systems integration activities, ensuring seamless operation across various platforms.
  • Lead Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Actions (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
  • Assist in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, and risk management.
  • Deliver expert guidance on aligning vision, strategy, and process development with organizational needs.
  • Operate at the intersection of multiple Major Systems Acquisitions across various governmental levels.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of current national and allied intelligence enterprises.
  • Oversee and coordinate the efforts of contractor Systems Engineers at various experience levels.
  • Drive code redesign initiatives and leverage modern coding methodologies to establish capabilities in cloud environments, including API development.
  • Coordinate testing events and validation processes, ensuring comprehensive verification of functional capabilities.
Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related technical fields, or 18 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Over 18 years of experience in government or industry related to the DoD/IC Acquisition Process and systems engineering of complex systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle.
  • TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain it and pass a polygraph examination.
Preferred Skills:

  • Doctorate in Systems Engineering or related technical fields.
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering processes and tools.
  • Certification in Software Development Frameworks.
  • INCOSE Expert System Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification.
  • Professional engineering licensure.
  • Active participation in relevant professional organizations.
  • Experience in geospatial intelligence and cloud-based solution engineering.
  • Expertise in structured and unstructured Big Data solutions.
  • Experience with Automation, Artificial Intelligence, and Augmentation technologies.
  • Proficiency in photogrammetry, remote sensing, and geographic information systems.
  • Experience in test design and capability validation, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Foundry, AWS, and modern programming languages.
