EquipmentShare is Hiring a Structural Engineer.

We're expanding our team at EquipmentShare, a leading provider of equipment solutions, and we're currently searching for a Structural Engineer to help us manage nationwide expansion efforts and support the Architecture team on corporate projects. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in commercial, industrial, and residential sectors.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure Corporate & Branch facilities uphold the EquipmentShare design and engineering standards, aligning with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Execute multiple projects under various deadlines, prioritizing tasks and managing resources effectively.
  • Aid the Architecture team in ensuring building environments are aesthetically pleasing, functional, and safe, with a focus on structural integrity and compliance with building codes.
  • Participate in occasional site visits to:
    • Analyze existing structural systems and identify areas for improvement.
    • Ensure construction compliance with documents and specifications, verifying that all work meets industry standards.
    • Read, interpret, and explain complex technical documents to peers and leaders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
    • Utilize Revit software to create structural design and construction details, ensuring accuracy and precision.
    • Utilize structural design and analysis software, such as RISA, SAP2000, and Enercalc, to analyze and optimize structural systems.
    • Work with outside consultants in the form of client representation or liaison role, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless project execution.
    • Maintain current knowledge of trends, materials, structural techniques, and other developments in structural engineering, demonstrating a passion for continuous learning and professional growth.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to the success of the EquipmentShare team.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a Structural Emphasis, from an ABET-accredited program.
  • At least 5-8 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in commercial, industrial, and residential sectors.
  • Able to work with a high degree of independence and take the lead on initiatives with limited supervision.
  • Project experience spanning multiple sectors, including commercial, industrial, and residential.
  • Experience designing in steel, light gauge, concrete, masonry, and wood, with a focus on structural integrity and compliance with building codes.
  • Experience with new construction and renovation projects, including site visits and construction management.
  • Ability to apply, adapt, and manage execution of structural standards, ensuring compliance and quality.
  • Demonstrated project management skills for multiple concurrent projects, prioritizing tasks and managing resources effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to read, interpret, and explain complex technical documents.
  • Demonstrated time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and structural design and analysis software, including RISA, SAP2000, and Enercalc.
  • Google Apps and/or Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, with the ability to create and edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
