Overview

As a key member of the Talent Acquisition team, the Talent Acquisition Specialist at Unity Health Care is responsible for overseeing the complete recruitment process, focusing primarily on healthcare roles.

This role employs a variety of sourcing techniques to attract top-tier candidates, ensuring that recruitment goals are met. The Specialist builds and maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, playing a vital role in the development of the HR recruitment team.

In addition, this position involves recruiting essential patient care personnel, particularly for licensed clinical roles within correctional healthcare, utilizing innovative strategies for comprehensive hiring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with hiring leaders to define job requirements and conduct thorough needs assessments for new positions.
  • Actively seek out healthcare professionals for correctional facilities through creative marketing, networking, and outreach methods.
  • Oversee the recruitment workflow for both hiring leaders and candidates to enhance the speed of hiring and improve candidate quality.
  • Perform detailed candidate evaluations, including application reviews, preliminary screenings, and interviews.
  • Advocate for Unity Health Care as an Equal Opportunity Employer while nurturing positive relationships with hiring leaders and external recruitment partners.
  • Organize and participate in job fairs and industry conferences, remaining aware of labor market trends and their implications for recruitment.
  • Maintain precise records of candidates and new hires in the Applicant Tracking System, managing administrative tasks related to internal transfers.
  • Ensure adherence to personnel policies, procedures, and recruitment standards, including compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Generate and maintain documentation for effective auditing and prepare reports for regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in crafting weekly job announcements, recruitment advertisements, and postings across various platforms.
  • Screen applicants and refer qualified candidates to department managers and supervisors.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in advertising, sourcing, and recruiting healthcare professionals.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert, demonstrating strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Skilled in developing targeted recruitment strategies to achieve desired hiring outcomes.
  • Exhibits adaptability, professionalism, and organizational skills while managing multiple requests and interactions.
  • Communicates effectively and promptly regarding updates, challenges, and obstacles.
Work Environment
This role does not require heavy lifting, and the majority of work is conducted in an office setting. Specific vision capabilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Frequent tasks include sitting, using hands/fingers for handling or feeling, and verbal communication. Critical thinking, organizational skills, decisive judgment, and excellent customer service are essential.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, work in a fast-paced environment, and respond appropriately to various situations is necessary.

Adherence to Unity Health Care and departmental policies and procedures is mandatory.
