Sawhorse Productions is a comprehensive creative marketing agency dedicated to producing multi-platform content for leading brands, artists, and film studios globally. Our expertise spans video production, post-production, social media content, immersive experiences, and software development. We are a collective of enthusiastic producers, directors, editors, and designers eager to expand our team and deliver outstanding content.

This role will establish a positive atmosphere within the team, promoting respect and collaboration among our staff and freelance contributors while ensuring an exceptional experience and product for our clients.

The position will involve direct client interaction, enhancing existing relationships, securing new business opportunities, and leading creative teams.

While we operate primarily in a remote capacity, there may be occasions when working from the office is necessary to collaborate with the production team prior to projects and during on-site activities.

Creative Leadership Responsibilities
  • Drive creative concept development, presentations, and client interactions.
  • Assist in shaping creative strategies for various projects.
  • Inspire innovative approaches and stay informed about marketing trends.
  • Oversee responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Manage multiple projects from inception to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and quality is maintained.
  • Proactively anticipate client needs, nurture relationships, and explore new opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to align on creative objectives and deliverables.
  • Guide the creation of compelling pitches and deliver persuasive presentations of concepts and outcomes.
Creative Approach Responsibilities
  • Establish the creative vision and aesthetic for campaigns.
  • Develop imaginative concepts informed by audience insights, platform specifications, and strategic objectives.
  • Create unique and well-crafted messaging that aligns with client and brand requirements.
  • Design engaging pitch decks that clearly communicate creative ideas.
  • Present creative concepts in an inspiring and captivating manner.
  • Aim for groundbreaking ideas and unconventional thinking.
  • Generate ideas while considering project scope and production logistics.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to learning about new trends, utilizing new platforms, and discovering innovative storytelling methods.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as a Creative Director.
  • Minimum of 5 years in an agency environment.
  • Proven ability to translate creative strategies, audience insights, and brand initiatives into actionable concepts.
  • Experience across various media including broadcast, digital, social, and branded content; familiarity with Web 3 activations (experiential, Metaverse, AI, AR) is advantageous.
  • Strong interest in youth culture and advertising trends.
  • Understanding of social media platforms and user behavior.
  • Hands-on experience in the creative process, marketing, graphic design, and brand development.
  • Strong capability to convert audience insights and KPIs into creative solutions.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • A good sense of humor.
  • Proficient in Google Docs, Slides, and related tools.
  • Strong skills in IOS, Mac systems, G-Suite, and Slack.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Must be based in Los Angeles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in directing.
  • Background in leading video productions and collaborating with AV and post-production teams.
  • Familiarity with production and post-production workflows.
  • Knowledge of Web3 technologies.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range: $120k - $150k based on experience.
  • Annual bonus potential.

This position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM PST, starting with a freelance probationary period of 90 days, transitioning to full-time employment if mutually agreed upon.
