We are currently seeking a Laboratory Technician to support our operations at the Research and Technology Center. This role involves collaborating with chemists, engineers, and analytical staff to ensure the safe and efficient operation of laboratory equipment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and capable of working effectively in a team setting, with some physical lifting involved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform analytical testing to support various business lines and production facilities, ensuring timely and accurate results.
- Adhere to established quality, safety, and environmental protocols.
- Maintain and operate laboratory instruments and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with chemists, engineers, and analytical personnel to meet operational needs.
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience.
- Strong commitment to safety practices.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Proficient in completing projects safely and efficiently.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work.
- Able to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods and bending.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field.
- Experience handling hazardous materials.
- Background in an analytical laboratory environment.
- Experience within the petrochemical or chemical sector.
