Role Overview:

The Clinical Research Paramedic plays a crucial role in the execution of clinical trials by managing investigational medications, collecting biological samples, performing venipuncture, conducting electrocardiograms, labeling tubes, processing samples, and maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with physician directives.

This position adheres to Good Clinical Practices (GCP) to ensure the integrity of the research process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer and collect investigational products and medications as per established protocols.

- Execute research procedures, including vital signs monitoring, blood collection, ECGs, and point-of-care laboratory tests.

- Conduct basic laboratory tasks such as preparing specimen tubes, collecting blood samples, operating centrifuges, and managing specimen storage and shipping.

- Ensure proper disposal of biological materials and maintain a safe and clean working environment. - Familiarize with and comply with ERG's standard operating procedures and relevant regulations.

- This role may involve additional responsibilities as needed to support the organization's evolving objectives.


Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited paramedic training program. Specific educational requirements may vary based on site needs and protocol specifications.
- A valid Paramedic license in the state of practice, with ongoing maintenance of licensure.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience is required.
- CPR certification is mandatory.
- National phlebotomy certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards, GCP, and ICH guidelines is essential.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare providers and team members.
- Proficient in medical terminology to facilitate interactions with clinical staff.

- Ability to adapt and modify actions to achieve desired outcomes in dynamic environments.
