We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest. As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely laboratory results to support patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine, complex, or specialized bacteriological, hematological, chemical, immunological, serological, and immunoassay procedures on body fluids.
- Communicate effectively with other care providers, including physicians, nurses, and medical records staff, to ensure continuity of patient care.
- Demonstrate accuracy for all testing performed and maintain quality control and proficiency testing according to policy and procedure.
- Bachelor's Degree in a Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science (MT/CLS) from an accredited institution.
- MT (ASCP) or equivalent certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
