Role Overview

The Salesforce Marketing Solutions Engineer will serve as a critical link between the Marketing and Technology teams, focusing on defining and implementing solutions that align with business objectives. This position will require close collaboration with Salesforce Administrators and Leads to ensure that initiatives are strategically aligned with both technological and business goals. The role encompasses both the design and development of system enhancements, as well as the management of daily operations within our marketing technology landscape. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills paired with business insight, facilitating effective marketing strategies and technology implementations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with technology, sales, and marketing teams to optimize the performance and utilization of Salesforce systems.
  • Act as a partner in defining and executing Salesforce Marketing Cloud strategies.
  • Develop and implement various marketing tools such as SMS/MMS, Email Marketing, Journey Optimization, and Subscriber management.
  • Establish performance metrics and lead A/B testing for marketing initiatives.
  • Upgrade and configure Salesforce systems to enhance workflows and integrations.
  • Create, test, deploy, and maintain custom objects, fields, and automation processes.
  • Design, build, and document projects related to Salesforce Marketing Cloud and legacy systems.
  • Plan and execute campaigns through comprehensive content marketing strategies.
  • Perform administrative tasks including user management and day-to-day support.
  • Manage development and collaboration with third-party consultants as necessary.
  • Ensure data integrity while importing and managing customer data.
  • Develop market solutions that address business needs within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Provide business analysis to stakeholders to streamline operations.
  • Create reports and dashboards ranging from simple to complex.
  • Maintain system integrity alongside the administrative team.
  • Ensure the CRM system effectively supports sales processes.
  • Enhance information flow within the CRM and integrate with other critical business systems.
  • Offer training and support to end users on data management and internal processes.
  • Document solutions and processes, ensuring clarity across Salesforce data consumers.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards for email communications.
  • Map customer journeys and design automated, personalized marketing campaigns.
  • Implement marketing automation strategies to enhance customer engagement.
  • Manage and segment customer data for targeted messaging.
  • Review business requirements to optimize processes and data flows.
Administrative & Additional Responsibilities
  • Conduct product testing and validation.
  • Assist with deployment activities.
  • Facilitate communication between business units to enhance processes.
  • Support strategic marketing initiatives for major events.
  • Act as a business analyst with a focus on customer experience.
  • Provide timely updates on project statuses.
  • Represent the Marketing Salesforce system in broader corporate initiatives.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with technology leadership.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in Salesforce Administration (Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud).
  • Hands-on experience managing marketing campaigns.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in AMPscript and CloudPages for advanced content personalization.
  • Experience with Flow Builder, Custom Objects, and user administration.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy regulations.
  • Experience in developing user interfaces.
  • Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in Agile development environments.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Experience with Pardot and/or Marketing Cloud.
  • Proficient in Apex, MySQL, and JavaScript.
  • Salesforce Developer Certification.
  • Experience with data integration and collaboration with data science teams.
  • Experience in the sports and entertainment sectors.
