Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our Consulting and Analytics Group. This role involves collaborating with a dedicated development and operations team to assist government clients in transitioning legacy systems to a cloud-based framework. You will engage closely with stakeholders to outline requirements, implement business logic, and enhance applications. Additionally, you will provide guidance and strategic oversight in enterprise and system architecture practices, documentation, and governance.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and maintain scripts for Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to facilitate data ingestion.
  • Create scripts to establish direct connections to various data systems essential for business analytics and application functionality.
  • Automate data ingestion processes as necessary.
  • Assist in navigating the security accreditation process, including documenting system configurations, updating them to meet accreditation standards, and collaborating with assessors and security managers.
  • Support the distribution of reports to authorized users.
  • Facilitate data sharing and acquisition efforts.
  • Implement modifications to existing applications and data pipelines based on client requirements.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field with 8 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience; or an Associate's degree with 10 years of experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years of specialized experience in enterprise and systems architecture.
  • At least 3 years of experience with cloud migration and hybrid cloud management solutions.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in system disaster recovery and backup solution engineering.
  • Extensive experience with VMWare and other virtualization technologies.
  • Proven track record in providing technical leadership in architecture, engineering, and operational services.
  • Experience in developing and integrating multiple data sources to create customized dashboards for management and government clients.
  • Familiarity with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Framework and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Experience in creating secure application systems in compliance with IC security guidelines.
  • Experience in designing and maintaining IT infrastructure for systems hosted in cloud environments.
  • Ability to assess the impact of proposed changes on future architectures and experience with the ICD 503 Certification and Accreditation Process.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to create original documentation.
  • Experience in overseeing team efforts and mentoring less experienced personnel.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with enterprise-level deployments, including governance and policy management.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification.
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • VMware Certified Professional.
  • Oracle Certified Associate (OCA).
  • Professional Scrum Master certification.
