Job Overview

Acclaim Technical Services, established in 2000, is a premier provider of language, operational, and technological solutions, serving a diverse array of U.S. Federal agencies. We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our Consulting and Analytics Group.

In this role, you will collaborate with a dedicated development and operations team, engaging with government clients to transition legacy systems into a modern cloud framework. Your responsibilities will include defining requirements, implementing business logic, and enhancing applications. You will also provide strategic guidance in enterprise and system architecture practices, documentation, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and maintain scripts for Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes.
  • Create scripts to establish direct connections to various data systems essential for business analytics and application functionality.
  • Automate data ingestion processes as necessary.
  • Assist in navigating the security accreditation process, including documenting system configurations and updating them to meet accreditation standards.
  • Support the distribution of reports to authorized users.
  • Facilitate data sharing and acquisition requirements.
  • Implement modifications to existing applications and data pipelines based on client needs.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field with 8 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience; or an Associate's degree with 10 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of specialized experience in enterprise and systems architecture.
  • At least 3 years of experience with cloud migration and hybrid cloud management solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience in system disaster recovery and backup solution engineering.
  • Extensive experience with VMWare and other virtualization technologies.
  • Proven track record in providing technical leadership in architecture, engineering, and operational services.
  • Experience in developing and integrating multiple data sources for customized dashboards for management and government clients.
  • Familiarity with the ITIL Framework and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Experience in creating secure application systems in accordance with security guidelines.
  • Experience in configuring and maintaining IT infrastructure within cloud environments.
  • Ability to assess the impact of proposed changes on future architectures.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to create original documentation.
  • Experience in mentoring and overseeing less experienced personnel.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with enterprise-level deployments, including governance and policy management.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification.
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • VMware Certified Professional.
  • Oracle Certified Associate (OCA).
  • Professional Scrum Master certification.
