Position Overview:

This role is crucial in safeguarding national security efforts and ensuring the safety of personnel within these facilities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Analyze project documentation, including construction Security Plans and architectural blueprints, to ensure adherence to the standards set by the Department of State (DoS) and the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Offer strategic advice and recommendations to federal leadership regarding necessary modifications.
  • Engage collaboratively with project stakeholders to develop effective solutions and design improvements.
  • Assist in the preparation of Congressional certification or internal confirmation documentation.
  • Evaluate and report on construction Security Plans to confirm compliance with all applicable DoS and IC standards.
  • Provide consulting expertise and written recommendations concerning policy and standard modifications.
  • Support the Congressional security certification process for U.S. diplomatic installations.
Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 4 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in reviewing project plans, construction Security Plans, and architectural designs for regulatory compliance.
  • Comprehensive understanding of architectural and security technical principles and their application across various programs.
  • Experience with contemporary building management systems and electrical distribution systems.
  • Ability to tackle complex challenges using advanced technical knowledge and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in developing innovative solutions through research and the integration of best practices.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with executive leadership on critical organizational matters.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple U.S. Government IC agencies and the Department of State to promote new practices and concepts.
  • Capability to read and interpret blueprints and design documents for large-scale, intricate facilities.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in managing construction projects for U.S. diplomatic facilities abroad.
  • Familiarity with drafting, reviewing, and implementing DoS or IC Construction Security Plans.
  • Knowledge of DoS construction security policies as outlined in the FAM/FAH.
  • Understanding of ICD-705 and SCIF construction requirements.
  • Awareness of technical surveillance methods and countermeasures.
  • Experience working within the Intelligence Community.
