Position Summary:

We are in search of a Senior Systems Administrator to join our expert system administration team. This pivotal role encompasses the installation, optimization, integration, troubleshooting, security, and maintenance of IT systems and components. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Server environments, virtualization technologies, storage architectures, and network security protocols. The Senior Service Administrator will collaborate closely with senior colleagues to architect and implement systems that align with organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration of Windows servers, including installation, user and group management, permissions, and directory structure.
  • Manage Microsoft Server environments, focusing on Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WINS, IIS, Group Policy, SharePoint, VMware, MSSQL, and server security measures.
  • Design, configure, and maintain Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop solutions.
  • Evaluate and optimize infrastructure initiatives for enhanced performance and efficiency.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for complex IT challenges.
  • Architect and sustain cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) ensuring performance, security, and scalability.
  • Deploy and manage cloud-based applications and services, ensuring operational excellence.
  • Implement and oversee cloud security protocols, including identity management and data protection.
  • Support disaster recovery strategies utilizing cloud-native solutions.
  • Install and maintain virtualized environments using VMware vSphere and associated storage technologies.
  • Facilitate daily operations of business systems, including software and hardware updates.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of system installations and upgrades.
  • Supervise the integration of system updates and enhancements.
  • Contribute to the planning and management of security systems and devices.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard system integrity and functionality.
  • Ensure adherence to information security policies and practices.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, including project management, database administration, and network security.
  • Support application migrations to the cloud, providing evaluation and technical assistance.
  • Create and maintain documentation for system administration processes, including standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to guarantee system availability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with at least 7 years focused on system administration is essential.
  • Proficient in configuring Windows guests within a VMware ESX environment.
  • Experience managing SharePoint sites, including permissions and rights management.
  • Extensive knowledge of VBScript/PowerShell scripting and automation techniques.
  • Certifications: MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional) required.
  • Desired Certifications: VCP (VMware Certified Professional).
  • Strong understanding of networking and security principles.
  • Experience with SAN/NAS/Storage solutions, such as NetApp and NFS.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and basic command usage.
  • Knowledge of AWS terminology and cloud computing fundamentals.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and teamwork skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic setting.

Compensation and Benefits:

The anticipated compensation range for this role is $110,000 to $140,000 annually, reflective of various experience levels. Salary at LCG is influenced by factors such as role, location, education, skills, certifications, and work experience.
