Rail Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Rail Processor to join our team at Wallenius Wilhelmsen. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of railcars.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare railcars for shipment by performing duties such as opening and closing railcar doors, setting bridge plates, and conducting onboard surveys of vehicles.
- Perform daily inspections on bridge plates and chocks to ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards.
- Load and unload railcars in accordance with company safety and quality standards.
- Ensure vehicles are properly spaced within the rail and secure vehicles according to customer standards onto outbound railcars.
- Perform light maintenance on railroad equipment and complete required WWS and/or customer forms.
- Ability to raise floating railcar decks and set bridge plates overhead for long periods of time.
- Continuous and extensive walking, frequent kneeling, bending, and stooping while inside rail cars.
- Good balance and ability to work with and around moving mechanical parts.
- Complete understanding of distribution processes and customer requirements concerning vehicle condition and reporting.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
