Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and execution of various rail and transit initiatives. Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to advance significant transit and rail capital programs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engaging in all phases of project delivery, including environmental assessments, design, procurement, construction oversight, certification, and asset management.
  • Assisting in contract management, procurement processes, and overall project administration.
  • Leading the creation of training materials, manuals, and operational procedures to address organizational challenges.
  • Working closely with quality assurance and quality control teams to meet audit requirements.
  • Mentoring and managing staff across various levels to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Effectively communicating with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Developing strong client relationships and engaging in business development activities, including proposal writing and presentation delivery.
  • Utilizing technical expertise to evaluate project elements and manage critical paths through the design and approval processes.
  • Demonstrating strong organizational skills to manage diverse workloads and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to travel and work in various project settings.
Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 20 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 10 years in rail or transit agency environments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of rail, transit, and systems project delivery processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ProjectWise.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
