WSP is seeking a highly experienced professional to lead our Transit and Rail Engineering team in the Baltimore, MD or Washington, DC office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and growing our transit and rail market share in the Capital Area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of transit and rail services in the Capital Area.
  • Grow WSP's market share of transit and rail services in the Capital Area.
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to increase revenue and market share.
  • Manage and lead project teams to deliver high-quality transit and rail projects.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their objectives.
  • Mentor and develop staff to support their growth and professional development.
  • Manage and provide performance guidance and leadership to assigned staff.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's and Master's degree in Engineering, Planning, or Architecture.
  • 12+ years of relevant post-education experience in transportation planning, operations, design, and management.
  • Strong knowledge of local clients and/or agency work.
  • Knowledgeable of transit and rail planning, operations, and asset management.
  • Knowledge of transit and rail research and analysis principles.
  • Successful knowledge and experience of FTA funding requirements.
  • Knowledge of AI-driven GIS and LiDAR technology.
  • Knowledge in AutoCad, Microstation, Revit, and GIS.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently, and handle varied projects across diverse disciplines.
  • Professionalism and Communication: Exhibit high levels of professionalism, communication skills, and positivity when engaging with colleagues, clients, guests, and office employees.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer license.
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
  • Prior experience with intercity or commuter rail projects.

Compensation

Expected Salary: $130,000 - $240,790.00
